Susila Dharma USA is a social and humanitarian non-profit organization whose members are committed to development, cooperation and social justice through "susila "and "dharma", right living based on spiritual values. The intention behind Susila Dharma is to support people to live and work in harmony in their quest for a just and sustainable society. The fundamental idea behind "development" is that of creating a world in which all people, regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity, social and economic status, can meet their basic needs, participate in the social, economic and political life of their communities and attain their human potential in freedom and peace. Susila Dharma initiatives are implemented primarily through partnerships among locally initiated and managed social projects in the United States and around the world.Susila Dharma USA is a registered non-profit 501.c.3 corporation.
The Mission of SD USA is to stimulate and nurture initiatives by Subud members to undertake and support humanitarian projects anywhere in the world that empower people and are participatory, sustainable and in harmony with the local culture.
SD USA allocates grants twice a year based on project requests received. In 2006 SD USA supported 7 projects in the United States and 17 projects overseas with $79,453.
